Hello Noosa,
My name is Caroline Walsh and, together with my husband Mike, we are the people behind Gingers Noosa.
We’re locals, and like many who are lucky enough to call this place home, we’ve spent a long time talking about creating something that genuinely adds value to the community we live in. With a shared passion — and long careers — in interiors and furniture buying, there came a point where we felt it was time to do it ourselves.
So, we bought a tin shed.
Tucked away in what’s quickly becoming the creative, industrial heart of Noosaville, the space had seen better days. We cleared out more than 25 years of dust and dirt, and in the process uncovered something special — the building had once been an art gallery. It felt like a sign. We decided early on to honour that history and make supporting local artists part of what Gingers would become.
Like many families here, we’re busy. We’re now both running our own businesses, raising young children, and constantly juggling the rhythm of work and life in the paradise we’re fortunate to live in.
When we first moved to Noosa, we bought a house we wanted to turn into a home straight away — and by pure luck, we were introduced to the most incredible team of local trades. Working closely with people who care deeply about what they do, who look out for one another, and who form the backbone of this community, shaped our thinking in ways we didn’t expect.
From that place, Gingers began to take form.
What Gingers Stands For
At its heart, Gingers is about how we gather in community and we have chosen poolside as that space.
Living in Noosa has a rhythm of its own — mornings that start slowly, homes that are open and lived in, spaces designed for gathering rather than showing off. We wanted Gingers to reflect that way of life. Thoughtful, relaxed and considered. Never overdone.
Practically, that means furniture and pieces chosen for how they’re actually used. Dining tables made for long lunches that roll into dinner. Outdoor furniture designed to stay outdoors. Textiles, tableware and poolside essentials that feel just as at home on a quiet weekday as they do when friends arrive unannounced.
Emotionally, it’s about ease.
Good design should support everyday living, not complicate it. Pieces should feel comfortable, intuitive and lasting — items you don’t need to replace every season, but grow with over time. Design that feels calm, honest and quietly confident.
Gingers is also deeply rooted in community. From the trades who helped bring the space to life, to the local artists whose work will hang on the walls, collaboration and connection are part of its foundation.
What You’ll Find at Gingers
Gingers is a curated space shaped around real life — the way we live, host and gather here in Noosa.
Inside, you’ll find furniture chosen for longevity and ease. Dining tables that welcome family and friends, sofas made for long afternoons, and outdoor pieces that move seamlessly between poolside mornings and evenings under the stars.
Alongside furniture, Gingers brings together a considered mix of home and lifestyle pieces — tableware, textiles, pool and beach essentials, and small details that quietly elevate everyday moments. Each piece is selected for its quality, its feel, and the way it lives within a home, rather than following trends or seasons.
The space itself is intentionally open and evolving. Local art will feature throughout the showroom, paying respect to the building’s past and continuing its story as a creative place. Over time, the rooms, walls and atmosphere will shift — shaped by the people, events and conversations that pass through it.
For those furnishing or refreshing a home, we also offer complimentary in-home furniture consultations and local delivery, making the process feel easy, personal and considered.
An Invitation to the Community
From the very beginning, Gingers was imagined as more than a showroom.
It’s a space designed for connection — for conversations, creativity and shared experiences. From design talks and artist evenings to intimate dinners, music nights and gatherings yet to be imagined, Gingers is here to evolve alongside the community.
To mark the beginning of this next chapter, we’ll be opening our doors again 2nd January, 2026, after receiving another container of incredible furniture. So come in and say hello, It’s a chance to see what we’ve been creating, to meet, to gather, and to celebrate something new — together.
